Visiting Vietnam: Going up a Mountain

In Paro, Bhutan; the famed Taktsang Palphug Monastery popularly known as Tiger's Nest lies so high up the mountain that you may wonder how people of the past get up there. Probably the same way people do these days, I suppose.; I remember being helped to a horse by a guide and having an uncomfortable ride up a steep slope before getting down halfway and going by foot till the end of the journey. It was easier to visit the Buddhist temple in Ta Cu Mountain in Phan Thiet; that I'm sure. Just an hour drive from Mui Ne Town, the lush rainforests, rare wildlife and limestone caves in the area may tempt you to take a hike up but that would take about two hours; that is if you are fit and not distracted; so, why bother?  Just take a cable car! Never have I been to a Buddhist temple up in the mountain using a cable car! In Ta Cu Mountain, a 1600-meter-long Austrian aerial tram serves both devotees and tourists.
