Visiting Vietnam: Browsing the Street

When talking about Ho Chi Minh City, I invariably think of Miss Saigon and Lea Salonga. Of course, Saigon is the city's old name, not as old as an even older, perhaps, lesser known name, Prey Nokor; and Miss Saigon is but a musical by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil, based on Giacomo Puccini's opera Madame Butterfly. The musical is about the romance between a U.S. GI and a South Vietnamese bargirl during the Vietnam war. Lea Salonga who played the bargirl is however a Filipino. Never mind all that though but this I heard , that there are French colonial landmarks in Ho Chi Minh city. Naturally while in the van from the airport enroute the hotel, I couldn't help but skim the streets for French-style buildings...                     1
Spot any French- style building/s?
