River Thames, I 've heard and why not, it being the longest river in England and the second longest in the United Kingdom. River Lea, however is another story. I'm not aware of London's second best known river until very recently. River Lea flows through East London; beginning from Leagrave, then going underneath Luton, and reappearing again and flowing down to Harpenden, Welwyn Garden City, to Hertford before changing from a small shallow river to a deep canal which then flows on to many other places among which includes Leyton. I suppose in Leyton, when we took a relaxing walk along a canal, the water must have belonged to the River Lea...
