Langkawi Trip: A walk on the Sky Bridge

We were in luck!  It was a fine day when we visited the Oriental Village in Langkawi Island. Bad weather especially when there's strong winds; would sometimes render the cable car service unavailable and then of course, that would dash  the hope of walking on the Sky Bridge. Our local guide had earlier told us to take the cable car to the final station which is where the Sky Bridge is. It was good advice. There are just two stops in the journey. If one is going for both, it is advisable to still go to the final station first for it's difficult to catch a cable car up from the first stop when there is a crowd. Besides, the Sky Bridge is where the best view is. It's said this is where one can see the whole of Langkawi Island and catch a glimpse of Tarutao island which happens to be the largest island of Tarutao National Marine Park in Satun Province of southern Thailand. Lovey-dovey couples probably love the section where they can pledge and put their love under locks and keys. I just enjoyed the leisurely walk on the triangular viewing platform of the 410ft-long 1.8m wide curved pedestrian bridge and enjoyed especially the part where I could scare myself silly, standing on a little portion of the bridge which is made of glass...
