Bau Trang is a lake in Vietnam. It's called the white lake for a very obvious reason. One probably wouldn't be impressed initially; I remember stepping down from our van near the fringe of a big lake and taking shelter from the sun under some fir trees and seeing a white expanse of land in the distance. Then, we were on a bumpy ride in a four wheel drive. A new world slowly opened up and it wasn't long when we found ourselves in what looked like a desert. Vietnam has a desert and it's a white one with a little oasis! The lake in the oasis reportedly had lotus growing in it but my friends and I didn't even give the lake a glimpse. We were just mesmerized with the seemingly endless white sand dunes!
