Borneo Break; Fabulous Houses in Sibu

Some of the land in Sibu are reclaimed land. The Rajang Esplanade for example touted as an ideal place to relax was completed in 1987, using reclaimed land along the river front and is frequently used for cultural performances and public events. I didn't visit the Esplanade of course, but while we were in Sibu, Gendil called up a friend of hers whom she had not seen for over ten years or more and when Mau Wei and Amber visited Jin Jin's house one afternoon, I met up with Gendil's friend, Miss Saw. She brought us to her home in Sibu's suburb but not before taking us on a tour to some fabulous houses supposedly built on reclaimed land....
