It's always fun to take a boat while traveling; especially in the hot, tropical weather; one tends to forget the heat when the wind blows and caresses the cheeks;and in the ancient city of Ayutthaya, there are always ancient temples, churches and palaces to look forward to. After visiting Wat Chaiwatthanaram, our boat dropped us at a night market where we had our dinner. After that, we had with much difficulty, hailed a cab back to our hotel. We did not visit the old churches and palaces in Ayutthaya; neither did we visit all the old monasteries there; or visit the museums or the floating market; or take an elephant ride; but we would leave the magnificent city the next day. A friend had picked Khao Yai as our next stop. That was supposed to be another UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most visited national parks in Thailand...
