When in Pulau Langkawi, I was rather surprised when the local guide told us that the people in Pantai Cenang were the poorest. Surely the people in Pantai Cenang, the busiest beach town there with its many cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops and duty-free outlets would not be that bad off. Then of course, the guide was only joking. She was saying that the people there did not have money to buy clothes, dressing minimally when in actual fact, she was trying to tell us that Pantai Cenang is a place for sunbathers. Pantai Cenang’s white wide and long beach is not just perfect for sunbathing but it's also a place for water sports such as jet skiing and parasailing. In the evening, you'd also get to watch the sunset. You'd love it!
