Never underestimate the importance of little stalls in quiet and deserted places. In Khao Yai where we put up the night, there were two or three by the roadside near the Chinese temple. We had noodles in one of them and bought bread and instant noodles in another. It was a smart move for food was not provided where we stayed and the restaurant was closed at night. It poured when we walked back but it didn't matter for we had umbrellas. After that, it was all loitering in the hotel premises, cooking instant noodles and eating bread when the stomachs growled and creating fun by taking photos of every single thing that caught our fancies. It was more loitering the next day as we waited for our taxi. There were supposed to be lots of things to see and do in Khao Yai; visiting art museums, European themed parks, winery and sunflower fields. Some of us itched to see a whole field of sunflowers in bloom and since that would be from November to January, there was talk of coming back here again then. Meanwhile, get ready for Bangkok!
