Summer Holiday: Meadow in the Highlands

In Skye, I read somewhere, one could see all of Scotland: mountain ranges, lochs and all. Up there where it was cold and green; at times it looked like no man's land. Despite a bitter cold especially when the wind started to blow, you'd most certainly still find delights in drinking in the mesmerizing scenes which seemed cut out for epic movies. Up there too, it did look like a big meadow. Probably big trees don't grow at such elevation but where people live; hundreds of years ago, deforestation had devoid the land of trees. The highlands is said to be just the remnants of the forest that once covered the land. Trees don't regrow because poor land conditions are said to not allow it. That probably is all right for I can't bear to think of trees blocking the view of the sea in the distance...
