Krabi!: At Tigers' Lair

Our trip to Krabi was really a bargain. Besides being provided accomodation and breakfast, we were treated to a  trip to one of the major tourist destinations situated in the Kiriwong Valley. There is a Buddhist temple here which houses two large eye-catching tiger statues at its premise. As the story goes, a monk had used a cave here for meditation. The temple had then been appropriately named Wat Tham Sua or Tiger Cave Temple because the cave used to be the lair of tigers and their paw prints which could still be found in the cave, on the walls and the ground; bear testimony to this. Wat Tham Sua is situated within a plaza and we merely visited the first part of the temple. We didn't get to climb up the over thousand steps to have a bird’s eye view of the surroundings and to admire the golden Buddha statue and pagodas there; that would be about half an hour climb; and we didn't explore the cave either. I suppose to explore the place, it's more advisable to visit the temple on your own...
