It was a hot sunny day when we visited Thale Noi Lake. It was not quite the dry season yet, I suppose. Phattalung, being in the southern east coast of Thailand, has two distinct wet and dry seasons and the dry season is from April to September and we were there in March which is probably the end of the wet season. It was hot and humid but as the long tail boat chugged in the field of pink lillies, one tend to disregard the discomfort. The sight of the blooming lillies and breeze that caresses tend to make up for the stinging heat and when traveling in a group, one tend to enjoy too the sight of fellow companions as they chugged by in their respective boats and waved a warm hello. I would recommend wearing long sleeved T-shirt, sunglasses and cap though!
