Rotterdam, I remember having read in a geography text book that it was a port city; and indeed the second largest city in Holland isn't just any port; it is Europe’s biggest and among the world’s top five biggest harbours. While in a bus in Holland during a trip to Europe, I had woke up and looked out groggily at Rotterdam. Two young Chinese girls had boarded the bus and apart from that, I remember a drab scene filled with man-made buildings. Not really impressed, recently I was surprised to read that the city is the architecture city of Holland and is dubbed the Manhattan on the Meuse. The Meuse of course is a major European river, rising in France and flowing through Belgium and the Netherlands to the North Sea. It must be into the river Meuse that tourists take when they go holidaying in Rotterdam!
Just watch this!
