Shopping from a Boat

How do you like to do your shopping from a boat?  You may be used to window shopping in the comfort of an air conditioned shopping mall but from a boat?  I don't know about Venice but in Bangkok, Thailand, in its famed floating market, you can do just that. For a fee, a boatman will take you through a row of wooden stalls where you can ogle over colourful Thai handicrafts and if a bag or hat happens to catch your fancy, you can get the man to pull over to the stall  so that you can haggle over the price from where you are sitting. If you get thirsty and hungry then, you may want to grab a bite from hawkers who ply their wares from boats similar to the one you are in. Or maybe, you are very conscious of hygiene. Worrying about how the hawkers wash their utensils and food, you may just want to skip that. Touch  wood!
