One morning in Lombok, while waiting for our friends to come down to the lobby, my roommate and I just wandered off to take photos in the vicinity. There is a rather interesting place called Pura Dara Jalen Jongkong which looked rather Balinese. The Hindus perform a ceremony for the death in a ceremony called Pitra Yadnya here. It was here too where a local king, Raja Cakranegara fought the Dutch colonists and killed the leader, General Van Ham. A monument for the general stands hidden in a corner.
