Summer Holiday : A Walk in the Park

The Scott Monument which stands in Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh looked black, menacing even. The black patches of the monument of Binny sandstone reportedly were partly caused by smoke of the locomotives of the Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station nearby. Apart from the blackness of the monument, everything else looked green there. Even in the afternoon, the weather was cool and it was just lovely to walk there in the park with other holiday makers as we made our way to yet another museum...
