It seems not too long ago that the COVID-19 pandemic gave everyone a good scare. First detected in Wuhan, China in December 2019. the deadly COVID-19 virus had spread to all parts of the world, causing millions of death and earning it fifth place in the deadliest epidemics and pandemics in history. On 30 January 2020, after the World Health Organization (WHO) had declared the outbreak a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC), normal life was disrupted. Physical traveling of course was affected as many were not just forbidden from leaving their countries but their homes as well. Virtual travelling through the Internet perhaps bring much pleasure to some but Travel Pangs as if affected by the virus came to a standstill. As of 5 May 2023, the WHO's PHEIC declaration had ended and out of the blue, a friend had asked if I would be his roommate for a tour to Korea.
