Fionnphort may be small but it boasts of many things like a boulder which was split in the middle by an ice age glacier, the split rock; which we didn't get to see; just like we missed the many places associated with famed writer Robert Louis Stevenson who gave the world Treasure Island and Kidnapped. I suppose we were already fortunate indeed to be at the pier to catch a ferry to Staffa. Even with a crowd of people lining up to catch the ferry, there was much quietness. The weather was cold; the sky and sea, blue; and when we were caressed by the cold wind of the sea and sprinkled by its salty water as the ferry chugged passed by pinkish granite for which the area is famous for; sometimes, I trembled and forgot my blessings...
